Hotels near Farnham Castle, GU9 0AG

Hotel de Vie is pleased to confirm that we are less than a 15 minute relaxing walk to Farnham Castle, passing through the historic and picturesque Farnham Town Centre itself.

This popular exhibition and event venue, in Farnham, is a privately owned location, that’s popular for a diverse range of uses.  From being a wonderful wedding venue, the castle also hosts a multitude of international conferences and exhibitions.  The venue also plays host to a highly regarded Cross-Cultural Skills training.

We have a wide range of guests staying with us at Hotel de Vie, whilst visiting the Castle.  Both for annual charity events, parties, functions, weddings, conferences, and training programs.

The castle has recently been presented with the Surrey Historic Buildings Trust Commended Award, for the sensitive restoration of the Castle’s 12th Century Keep.  Fortunately, they have now also opened a new exhibition entitled ’900 years of Living History’, which is free, and is available 7 days a week to members of the public.

The Keep is now also open 7 days per week (rather than as it used to be of only a couple of days per week) and is now free!  There is also the popular ‘Bishops Palace’.  Both of which have free audio tours available (downloadable from their website).

The castle building however is rather unusual in that it has been permanently lived in, for almost 900 years.  It’s recently also been supported financially by English Heritage, and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
