The local launch of evitavonni – Farnham

evitavonni

We were pleased this evening, to be invited to the pre-opening launch, of the brand new (and much anticipated) evitavonni store in Farnham.

This store is on the site of the old Woolworths (very much a prime location, in the town center). For a good couple of years now, it’s been getting fully renovated, and fitted out.

This evening, was the first chance to look inside, for selected ‘VIP’ guests, such as myself.

It’s clear they’ve been putting a huge amount of effort into bringing everything together for opening night tonight.  Still the smell of fresh paint in a few areas, a few little tweaks before it opens to the general public on Saturday, etc.

Overall though, it was exceptional.  Really great staff, excellent detailing, quality products as far as you could see, …

What I particularly love about all the evitavonni stores I’ve been to, is the way that everything actually works!

All the appliances throughout the store, actually function as they’re designed to do:  Ovens heat up, extractor fans suck out air, coffee machines make coffee, showers work, even the display toilets flush!  (there are private toilets too of course).

The level of quality is excellent, but it doesn’t come cheap (i.e. many of the larger items don’t have a price clearly marked).  They have designers in store who will help design and fit your interior, should you wish, and I’m sure there will almost always be staff on hand to assist you.

What they’re aiming to do with the Farnham store (in comparison to the store in Chobham for example), is make it a place you can regularly visit.  At the moment there are a wide choice of Christmas decorations.  They also sell kitchen gadgets, soft cashmere bedding, fresh flowers, jewellery, ornate glasses, kitchen knives, exclusive lighting, and of course lots of decorative add-ons, etc.

There’s also a range of workshops coming up (typically at around £10-15 per person).

I also understand the roof terrace (accessible from the 2nd floor) should also be opened in the spring (showing a range of garden furniture, etc.)

So certainly, if you’d like to browse some excellent accessories for your home, or if you have the money to fit it out with some of the best appliances available, this store could be well worth a visit.  And it’s only around 7 minute’s walk from Hotel de Vie!
