We listen to our guest feedback, constantly make improvements where possible to our facilities, and aim to make your stay with Hotel de Vie as great as possible. For these reasons, bookings continue to increase steadily.

We appreciate that some people don’t already know about us, as so we are affiliated with LateRooms and Booking.com for them to take additional bookings on our behalf.

Part of our agreement with them both, is a ‘best price guarantee’ meaning that we can’t offer rooms to the general public at a cheaper rate than we offer through our two affiliates.

As a result, we cannot negotiate on our prices at any time.  So it will therefore always be the same price, however you book.

We don’t believe in artificially increasing our prices, just to bring them down again. So we offer you the best rates we can at all times (unlike virtually every other hotel we know).

We of course do have to pay a commission to the third party affiliates for bookings they pass on to us, so we don’t list every room with them (especially on our busy nights)

When you book directly with Hotel de Vie, you will always get the full choice of all the rooms we have available, and you can select between exactly what you’d prefer.

By not paying affiliates when you book directly, it means we can also reinvest more into the hotel, to improve your future visits.

Unfortunately, it’s been disappointing to recently see these affiliates (and their ‘white label’ partners), pretending to offer up to 70% savings on booking through them for Hotel de Vie.  This is a lie.  The price is the same, however you book, and no-one can offer it cheaper.  Some of them are are also splitting the cost to a ‘per person, based on two people sharing’ just to try and show it cheaper.  It’s still not.

We have now banned any third parties from using the trademark ‘Hotel de Vie’ in any search term advertising bids (ie Google Adwords and similar, for the sponsored listings).  We felt this was like our affiliates standing on our front door step, stopping our guests on their way in, getting their details and then claiming to have ‘gained this new guest for us’.

So to confirm..

• The prices on our website are the lowest we can offer (we are contracted this way).
• Anyone claiming to offer a cheaper, or discounted room is therefore lying.
• Anyone claiming to be us, who take your booking details on any website other than www.hoteldevie.com (also other than our current booking provider infotel), or other than phoning 01252 82 30 30, are not us.
• Any ‘sponsored ads’ with our name, on Google, Bing, Yahoo (and other similar search engines and search directories), which redirect you to any site other than www.hoteldevie.com, are in breach of our trademark and our copyright.
• If you book through any other agent, you restrict what we can reinvest back into the hotel.  You will not get a room at Hotel de Vie cheaper by going through any third party website, whatever they claim to the contrary.  The prices listed on our own website, are the best we can do at all times.  Anyone offering a lower rate is lying.
• By booking directly with us, you can also choose your actual preferred choice of room.  You will also always have more availability than any third party website can offer.  And of course, it’s better for us too at the hotel as I’m sure you can appreciate!

In other words, if you’d like to book a room with us, please contact us directly rather than going anywhere else.  You will always get a better choice and service when booking directly with us.
