We are often asked about variations to our prices, which we wanted to clear up here:

Unfortunately, we are contractually bound not to offer discounts to our rooms rates, from those published on our website.

Our prices are fixed at the rates shown, at all times, however or whenever you book, and even if you book our entire hotel.

(The only savings we’re able to offer, is to our two suites, for a weekday checkout: this is automatically applied with your booking).

We don’t offer discounts for booking a year in advance, nor do we charge extra for booking at the last minute.  For these reasons, our prices do often work out cheaper than any of the main chains (especially with all the other add-ons you need to purchase like WiFi, breakfast, snacks, etc.).

We also don’t believe in artificially increasing our prices just to bring them down again (many hotels offer a ‘rack rate’ at 300% of their normal price, just so they can apply false discounts, which even then are more expensive than it can be). We believe in offering our best price at all times.  That way everyone knows where they are.

We also don’t follow the industry standard of overbooking by 10-15% : When you book a room with us (and it’s confirmed and your card details are valid), that room is booked for you, and won’ be given to someone else, even if you do arrive later.

Also, don’t forget that our standard rooms rates include all of the following at no additional cost:

• Free Broadband WiFi for our guests, throughout the hotel (often charged at £15 per day at many other hotels)
• Free incoming direct dial telephone line to your room.*
• Free outgoing calls to 01, 02, and 03 numbers, directly from your room.*
• A free, freshly cooked to order breakfast, from a variety of options (including smoked salmon, full English, porridge, bacon sandwiches, etc.)
• A free choice of 12 Organic Teas, 16 Coffees, Latte, Cappuccino, Espresso and Hot Chocolate. Available 24 hours a day (plus the additional drinks facilities within your room too).
• Free biscuits, fruits, yogurts, cheeses, juices and other snacks, available at all times throughout your stay (just help yourself to our ‘snack station’).
• Fine Egyptian Cotton Bed Linen, on all beds.
• Powerful showers in all rooms, with baths in a few too.
• Great staff.

*All calls are subject to fair use.

It’s for these and many other reasons, we are regarded as the best hotel /guest accommodation in the area. We’re not the cheapest, nor are we the most expensive. Similarly we’re not the largest, nor are we the smallest. But we are the best.

Our prices are fixed.  We cannot deviate on that.

If it makes you feel better, just double our prices, and then take off 50%.
